A small beginning. A world of stories.
Why Midsummer Fruit exists, how its tools and stories are made, and what earns a place in the studio.
Prelaunch draft · Updated November 2, 2026. Production services and legal review are pending. This is not yet a finalized legal notice.
A studio for names that enter a story
Midsummer Fruit is being built for novelists, comic and motion-comic creators, and people developing original characters. Its central task is to connect a useful name with a person’s relationships, choices and voice. A name generator should do more than deliver a list; it should help you decide what belongs in your draft.
The experience begins with a few useful settings, a generated shortlist and a selected name. A local scene shows an entrance, then a relationship choice changes how another person addresses the character. You can save that character and its scenes privately. Longer editorial fiction offers an independent, uninterrupted reading experience alongside the tool.
What this edition actually contains
This is a development edition. The tool library and capability inventory show the actual implemented tools, complete fictional story drafts and review status. The implemented tools and research candidates together cover the first 100 definitions. Every story remains marked for human editorial review. The current development target is 200 differentiated tools, reduced from the earlier research budget. Those pages do not currently all exist.
The first emphasis is character names, family structures, bylines and whole-story casts. Organization, place and title tools will be considered in later batches. Overlapping ideas can become options inside a tool rather than additional pages. No usage numbers, customer reviews or search-performance results have been invented.
How a tool earns its own page
A candidate must identify a distinct task, meaningful inputs, an enforceable naming rule or documented dataset, specialized outputs and a way for the author to assess fit. Changing a heading or AI prompt does not meet that standard. Each canonical tool lives in a versioned registry rather than a giant page component.
Rule strategies handle structure, shared surnames, signatures, identifiers and exclusions. Source-backed data is kept apart from invented vocabulary. An optional future server-side AI adapter is separate from the local tools. Feature availability, data limitations and review status must remain visible.
Editorial practice and AI disclosure
Stories and initial code in this repository were produced with AI assistance for this project. They are not testimonials, first-person claims by an invented staff writer or repackaged user experiences. The named characters are fictional. We do not claim that automated checks establish originality or literary merit.
Before a story becomes formally published, a human editor must check continuity, motivation, scene quality, the role of names in the plot, factual boundaries and duplication across the site. English demonstration stories target 2,000–3,500 words of substantive editorial content, with narrative making up the main share. Length alone does not pass review.
Article records contain a synopsis, genre, setting, emotional theme, character relationships, explicit generator presets, source statement, revision date and review status. Public stories are not globally rewritten with a user’s chosen name. Private fragments use separate structured state.
Sources, cultural care and corrections
Real-world name claims need verifiable sources, a recorded license and a stated scope. The current US-name sample uses the Social Security Administration’s published period tables, which describe recorded births rather than ethnicity, personal character or universal naming practice. Original fantasy compounds carry creative notes rather than invented etymologies.
Culture is not a personality filter. Script, reading, transliteration, region and period require their own evidence where applicable. Culture-specific candidates lacking review remain in research. A technical test cannot certify cultural accuracy.
A correction should identify the page, the exact claim and an appropriate source. Send factual reports to the contact email listed below. Significant corrections should be recorded in the article or data revision history. No external language specialist or fact-checking team is claimed to have reviewed this edition.
Private creation and honest monetization
Local projects, favorites, history and saved scenes stay in this browser. There is no registration or cloud synchronization. Backups are important because browser data can be cleared. The Privacy policy describes the current implementation rather than assuming future services are already installed.
The owner intends to apply for Google AdSense after the site is ready. No ads or tracking code is installed, no approval has been obtained, and no approval, ranking or revenue is promised. Future ads must remain distinct from creative tools and follow applicable consent requirements. Editorial usefulness takes priority over creating pages to fill a quota.
